Quayside Conservatories - Consumer Protection
Association
Quayside Conservatories are
members of the ‘Consumer Protection
Association’.
The Consumer Protection Association
only deals with proven and accredited contractors
which they fully vet for professional competence
and integrity and is continually monitored
throughout the life of that membership.
The CPA member is a company which has met
strict criteria, ensuring that they are
thoroughly professional in their industry
and can offer the consumer a professional,
reliable and ethical product and service
and have proven their ability to produce
the highest quality of work.
Many trades require a deposit
from the consumer before they commence work,
this is usual practice. The CPA deposit
protection scheme is insurance for the deposit
(which will either be 25% of the contract
price with the company, or £7500 whichever
is the lesser). The policy covers the consumer
for a period of up to 90 days from the payment
of the deposit to the company. Should the
company cease to trade the deposit will
either be refunded to the consumer, or work
completed by another company at the balance
agreed price.
Upon completion of works the
consumer will receive a certificate from
the member, ‘The Insurance Backed
Guarantee’. If the member ceases to
exist after the works have been completed
and faults appear, the Insurance Backed
Guarantee (which is valid for a period up
to 10 years and is backed by a UK authorised
insurer) will cover the cost of remedial
works by another company.
A report is produced quarterly
from a survey which is carried out after
each installation has been completed. This
report is in order to assist the member
in maintaining and where possible improving
standards of quality and service. This report
is also available to prospective customers
in order that they can enjoy the peace of
mind that comes with knowing they are dealing
with a reputable company.
