Quayside Conservatories - General Specifications

TIMBER:
Selected close grained hardwood sourced exclusively from re-generable stocks.

FACE FRAME DESIGNS:
An infinite number and variety of designs and sizes are available (subject only to structural considerations).

VERTICAL GLAZING:
Toughened glass sealed units (4:20:4) are supplied for every vertical frame section. These units are sealed into the frames using the full perimeter bonded, neutral-cure silicone (wet) glazing method on-site.

ROOF GLAZING:
Either safety glass (4:16:4 units) or triple wall polycarbonate sheets may be specified for roof glazing. Our own glazing system ensures a leak free roof when properly installed.

WINDOW VENTILATION:
All opening windows are of a high performance specification, conventionally hung on stainless steel friction hinges, fully draught proofed and fitted with espagneolette locks & brassised handles.

ROOF VENTILATION:
This may be achieved using thermally broken powdercoated, aluminium roof vents, which can either be manually or electrically operated.

EXTERNAL ACCESS:
Single or double doors are available (with toughened 4:12:4 double glazed units) and open either inward or outward. All door systems are fully weather proofed, fitted with brass door handles, multipoint security locks & locking shoot bolts (where necessary).

FINISH:
Translucent versions: 1x base coat stain, 2x top coats. Opaque versions: 1x base coat stain, 1x high build primer, 1x top coat. Both versions are factory sprayed using microporous cross linked lacquer to achieve a low maintenance surface.

MANUFACTURE TIMES:
Normally 6 - 8 weeks from cleared order, however this can fluctuate throughout the year according to demand.
